PhPlate Microplate Techniques AB produces reagents that have been developed as a result of research going on at the Karolinska Institutet, which is the medical university in Stockholm. The products are mainly microplate-based assays for typing/fingerprinting of bacteria (the PhenePlateTM system), and reagents for diagnostics of certain bacterial infections, together with software for analysing results. PhPlate Microplate Techniques AB has also been leading in the development of the MARA assay for toxic fingerprinting of chemicals and environmental samples
